Love Spoons

Learn how to make decorative copper spoons in just one day at Studio Budgie Galore. This class is a great introduction to working with copper to form your own unique spoons. Our own METAL take on the traditional wooden Lovespoon, this workshop is aimed at creating decorative spoons for yourself or as a special gift for someone else.
With guidance from your tutor, you will learn how to pierce, form, texture, emboss, hammer, file, polish and finish metal – you will make several test pieces initially that explore how to work with metal before making your spoons. You will also learn how to join your spoon bowl and handle together by either soldering or riveting.
All materials are included in the cost of this workshop. Tea, coffee and cake are also included. The workshop is fun, informative and no previous experience is required.
