What is your address? How do I find the studio?

The studio is located at Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet, a heritage museum site. Workshops may be running even when the museum site is closed to the public. The studio is located at the rear of the visitor centre (towards the left), in the bottom car park. There is plenty of free parking on site.

 


What is the minimum age to take part in a class or workshop?

All workshops are suitable for 16 years and over but we require parental consent for 16-18 year olds. Some workshops are suitable for younger participants when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please contact us for guidance and more information.

 


What is the minimum age for holding/attending a birthday party?

Birthday parties are suitable for ages 8 to adult. We require at least one adult to be present during the party and all parents/guardians of children under 18 attending a birthday party must sign a parental consent form.

 


How do I book a workshop or course?

1. Through our online booking system using Paypal – pay with your credit or debit card securely with Paypal, you do not need a Paypal account to do this.

What time do classes and workshops start and finish?

One Day Workshops usually run from 10am – 4pm

Weekly Morning Classes 10am – 12 noon

Weekly Afternoon Classes 12.30 – 2.30pm or 3pm

Weekly Evening Classes 6.30 – 8.30pm or 9pm

 


How do I enrol on to a weekly class?

Students that are currently enrolled on a weekly class are able to continue on a rolling basis. Students wishing to join a weekly class must have attended a one/two day workshop or taster course to ensure a basic understanding and familiarity with the workshop. New students are able to join a class when spaces become available. Please email or call for availability or to join a waiting list.

 


Is the workshop suitable for my level or ability?

Most workshops are suitable for complete beginners – check on the course description or call/email us for further information if you are unsure.

 


What is included in the cost of the workshop?

All materials are covered in the cost of one day workshops.

Basic materials are covered in the cost of taster courses with the option to purchase silver additionally.

Some basic materials are covered in the cost of the weekly classes with the option to purchase silver additionally.

Refreshments – Tea, coffee & biscuits are provided in all workshops and classes and lots of cake is included when attending a one day workshop.

PLEASE NOTE: You will need to bring lunch with you when attending a one day workshop or lunch can be purchased from the cafe on site for workshops held Sunday – Thursday (the cafe is not open on Fridays and Saturdays).

 


If I cannot make my workshop can I get a refund or swap to another day?

Unfortunately, if you are unable to attend a booked workshop for any reason we are unable to offer you a refund. Depending on the notice period, if we are able to fill your space on the workshop we may be able to offer you an alternative workshop day. If Studio Budgie has to cancel the class for any reason we will offer you an alternative day or a full refund.

 


How many people will there be in a workshop?

The number of students in each class varies depending on the type of workshop taking place; the studio is spacious, well equipped and has 12 jewellery benches. Typically a workshop will have around 6-10 students. Please check if you would like more information about a specific workshop.
