Mixed Metal Jewellery Workshop with Frances Noon

Learn how to make a fun mixed metal pendant or brooch with mixed media artist and jeweller, Frances Noon.

With guidance from Frances, you will learn a range of jewellery and metalwork techniques over the duration of the day. You will have the opportunity to create lots of samples before deciding on the theme for your jewellery – possible themes include birds, flowers and animals.
Working with silver, brass and copper you will learn how to saw pierce sheet metal, and add decoration to the surface using a selection of punches.
Further details can be added by soldering wire and contrasting metal shapes to your piece.
Finally, you will add a brooch back or a necklace chain to complete your piece.

All materials are included in the cost of the workshop, you will be allocated an amount of silver, copper and brass to work with, additional silver can be purchased on the day if you would like to add additional precious materials.
Refreshments are also included. The workshop is fun and informative, and no previous experience is needed.
