Who are our classes suitable for?
Our *Mums and Daughters workshop is suitable for complete beginners or those with some previous experience. Enjoy a lovely, relaxed day spending quality time learning about jewellery making with loved ones. Leave with your beautiful pieces of silver jewellery and long-lasting memories.
*Also suitable for friends, aunties, sisters, grandmas,etc.
What will you make?
During the day we introduce you to the workshop, tools, equipment and cover health and safety. You will learn a range of traditional silversmithing techniques including how to pierce, form, texture, emboss, file, polish and finish metal. In the morning you will make several test pieces that explore how to work with metal before making at least one piece of jewellery in silver in the afternoon. You can choose to make a pendant and/or pair of earrings.
Our jewellery making facilities.
We have a well-equipped traditional jewellery workshop with a wide variety of machinery and hand tools. We also have a good selection of specialist tools. Students work at their own individual jewellery bench, and we also have larger communal workbenches.
What’s included?
Materials are included in the cost of this course to make a small silver pendant and pair of silver earrings. If you would like to make a larger pendant or earrings you can purchase additional silver on the day (approx. £10- £15 depending on the weight). Please bring cash on the day if you would like to do this. Tea, coffee and biscuits are also included. The workshop is fun and informative, and no previous experience is needed. Small class sizes ensure individual tuition from your qualified experienced tutor.

Booking and Cancellation Policy

- Your booking fee secures your place, either paid via our website or by bank transfer- we cannot reserve places without payment.
- You have the statutory 14 days to cancel or amend your booking.
- After this time a 50% refund or the option to switch to another workshop will be offered if made more than one month before the workshop date.
- No refunds will be offered less then one month before the workshop commences.
- If we cancel a workshop for any reason, you will be entitled to a full refund.
