Who are our classes suitable for?
This fun workshop is suitable for beginners and for anyone that would like to improve on their skills in metalwork and jewellery with an opportunity to work on a slightly larger scale. This class is a great introduction to working with copper to form your own unique spoons in a small group of like-minded people.
What will you make?
This workshop is our take on the traditional wooden Love spoon, working in METAL. You will learn a range of traditional metalworking techniques over the day including how to pierce, form, texture, emboss, hammer, file, polish and finish both sheet metal and wire. You will make several test pieces initially that explore how to work with metal before making your spoons. You will also learn how to join your spoon bowl and handle together by either soldering or riveting. this workshop is aimed at creating decorative spoons for yourself or as a special gift for someone else.
Our jewellery making facilities.
We have a well-equipped traditional jewellery workshop with a wide variety of machinery and hand tools. We also have a good selection of specialist tools. Students work at their own individual jewellery bench, and we also have larger communal workbenches.
What’s included?
All materials are included in the cost of this workshop. Tea, coffee and biscuits are also included. The workshop is fun, informative and no previous experience is required. Small class sizes ensure individual tuition from your qualified experienced tutor.

- Your booking fee secures your place, either paid via our website or by bank transfer- we cannot reserve places without payment.
- You have the statutory 14 days to cancel or amend your booking.
- After this time a 50% refund or the option to switch to another workshop will be offered if made more than one month before the workshop date.
- No refunds will be offered less then one month before the workshop commences.
- If we cancel a workshop for any reason, you will be entitled to a full refund.
