Who are our classes suitable for?

This workshop is suitable for beginners and for anyone that would like to learn authentic Bronze and Iron age techniques. This class is a great introduction to working with copper wire to create an intricate, wearable piece.

What will you make?

You will make a replica arm torque similar to those found in a Celtic hoard buried almost 4000 years ago. You will learn a range of traditional metalworking techniques over the day including torque wire twisting and spiral motifs. 

Our jewellery making facilities.

We have a well-equipped traditional jewellery workshop with a wide variety of machinery and hand tools. We also have a good selection of specialist tools. Students work at their own individual jewellery bench, and we also have larger communal workbenches.

What’s included?

All materials are included in the cost of this workshop. Tea, coffee and biscuits are also included. The workshop is fun, informative and no previous experience is required. Small class sizes ensure individual tuition from your qualified experienced tutor.
