8 Week Courses

8 week courses run termly (1 wk break over half term holidays) in 8 week blocks with students able to continue on a rolling basis.

Students must have attended a 1 or 2 day workshop or a taster course before joining the group to become familiar with the workshop, cover basic techniques and health and safety.

The groups are of mixed ability with students working on individual projects at their own pace. New techniques are introduced in these sessions – techniques covered include saw piercing, texturing, forming, soldering, polishing and finishing.

Other techniques taught may include stone setting, etching, wirework, PMC, press forming and the use of mixed materials.

Working in copper and silver you will make a range of finished pieces including rings, earrings, pendants and bangles. Some basic materials are included in the price – silver is purchased additionally. Refreshments are also included.
